Compound Cell

Last updated: August 11, 2020

Compound cells are static representations of 3D objects. Generally 3D elements are grouped together as a single object along with a 2D plan (top view) representation of the object. Perforators (shape profiles used to cut into forms) are also incorporated in the compound cell. Drawing elements together with Building forms can be used to create compound cells.

Generally, 3D compound cell objects are viewed within the 3D model and the 2D plan representation appears in the horizontal sections produced from the 3D model. Quantities of elements in a compound cell can be generated provided each element has a part definition.
